Meet Dance Marathon at ISU
Dance Marathon at Iowa State University is the largest student-run philanthropic organization on campus. We hold many events throughout the year to raise funds and awareness for the families impacted by treatment at the University of Iowa Health Care Stead Family Children's Hospital, located in Iowa City. Every spring, we celebrate our hard work and create a fun atmosphere for students and families at our Big Event!
University of Iowa Health Care Stead Family Children's Hospital is Iowa's only comprehensive children's hospital and the only nationally ranked children's hospital in Iowa. Each year, UI Stead serves over 100,000 children from all 99 counties in Iowa.
Dance Marathon is not a competition and requires no dancing abilities! We are a member of Children's Miracle Network Dance Marathon, a nationwide, student-led movement that empowers students to make a difference in their own communities by raising funds to change kids' health to change the future. During our annual big event celebration, there's a morale dance (an easy line dance) that participants have an opportunity to learn, but if dancing's not your thing, there are also games, inflatables, performers, food, and more! Plus, you get the opportunity to interact with and meet some of our amazing miracle families.
