Meet the Executive Team

Sierra is thrilled to be serving as this year's Dance Marathon President. She has previously been a member of the families committee and loves bonding with our miracle families and other members of DM. Outside of DM, catch Sierra training to run the half marathon in October, playing sand volleyball, cooking, or studying in the library. Her why is so that kids can celebrate more life milestones!

Drew serves this year’s DM team as VP of Membership. During his time at ISU, Drew has been a Miracle Maker and a Morale Captain. Drew’s favorite part about DM is getting to know other people who enjoy making the ISU community the best it can be. Besides DM, Drew is a Peer Mentor in the Biology department at Iowa State, enjoys hanging out with his friends, and spends a good amount of time studying to get into med school. His why is so that no one fights alone!

Michael is excited to serve as Dance Marathon 2025s Internal Director. He was previously a member of the families committee and loves getting to know our amazing families! Outside of DM, you can find Michael training to run the half marathon in October, playing Spikeball, or playing Bags. His WHY is that he saw through his sister how much of an impact she had on the kiddos, and he wanted to help change their lives by helping them step away from what they're dealing with and just be a kid.

Rachel is excited to serve on the executive team as the Finance Director again this year! As the Finance Director, she manages the financial aspects of the organization. Her responsibilities include overseeing budgeting, tracking donations, and ensuring transparent financial reporting to support our mission effectively. Outside of Dance Marathon, you can catch her hanging out with friends and family, going on walks, traveling, or eating ice cream! Her why is so that kids can be kids and experience the joys of life!

Stella is excited to serve as the VP of External Affairs. Previously, Stella has been both a Miracle Maker and Director of DEI. Her current role involves assisting in youth outreach, community outreach, and the creative team. Outside of Dance Marathon, Stella enjoys spending time with friends outdoors. Her why is so every kid can be a kid and enjoy life to the fullest!

Brenna is very excited to be serving her second year as ISU Dance Marathon's Alumni Relations Director. She has been involved in our organization for nearly 21 years as a Miracle Kiddo, Family, and Family committee member. She enjoys listening to our Family Stories and building personal relationships with our members. Outside of DM, you will see her running around campus with friends, attending basketball games, or watching movies! Her "Why" is to Make More Miracles for the kids and families just like her.

Elisa is thrilled to serve as the Community Outreach Director for Dance Marathon 2025. With a long history of involvement, she previously held the role of Fundraising Director from 2021 to 2023 and was a morale captain in 2020. As a member of a miracle family, Elisa has been part of Iowa State Dance Marathon since 2005. Outside of DM, she works part-time as a quality intern at John Deere Des Moines Works, swims for the ISU Swim Club, and enjoys spending time with her Newfoundland, Boji. Her why is driven by a commitment to support angel kiddos and their families and to ensure a healthy future for all kids.

Mary is excited to be serving as the Community Partnerships Director this year. During her first two years at ISU, she was a member of the Families Committee. Outside of DM, you can find Mary cooking, baking, and doing lots of studying. As a previous DM family, Mary enjoys having the opportunity to give back!

Lindy cannot be happier to be serving as this years Dance Marathon Corporate Partnerships Director. She was previously a member of the families and loved building strong relationships with the families we serve. Outside of DM Lindy is a member of the Iowa Corn Growers Collegiate Club, Rodeo Club, as well as the Country Swing Club! Her why is to give back to an organization that gave her and her family so many silver linings and shoulders to lean on during her brother’s cancer treatment.

Malia bio

Laura is stoked to be the events director this year! This will be her second year in the events position, and she loves the connections she's made through the organization. She also has greatly enjoyed getting to know all of our families over the last few years! When Laura is not planning all of the stellar DM events, you can find her working for Iowa Wild, line dancing, or getting coffee at Scooter's! Her why is to provide the families with a light of hope in the dark times of being at the hospital.

Maci is super excited to serve as one of the Event Directors for this year. Last year she was a morale captain and made so many great memories that allowed her to grow her love for DM even more. Outside of DM, Maci is often spending time with her friends and family, working events for Iowa State Athletics, or hanging out with her puppies! Her why is so that kids can reach more milestones and make more memories with those that they love!

Kaitlyn is excited to serve as a Dance Marathon Families Co-Director this year. Previously, she has been on the families committee and loves getting to know the families and building connections. Working with the families has established Kaitlyn’s why: so kids can have more milestones. Outside of DM, Kaitlyn is involved in the pre-optometry club, works as a tutor and peer mentor, and likes trying out new recipes!

Kendra is so excited to be serving as this year's Dance Marathon Families Committee Co-Director. She has previously been a member of the families committee and loves being able to connect with our miracle families! Outside of DM, Kendra spends her time on the Optometry Club's exec board, tutoring Organic Chemistry to student-athletes, and competing in Iowa State's many intramural sports. Kendra's "why" for DM is so that no kid has to fight alone.

Kaitlynn is serving as this year's Fundraising Director. She has been on the families committee in the past, which has fueled her why. Being able to make connections with families and directly see how the work you put in is affecting others is one of the best parts of dance marathon! When not at school you can find Kaitlynn somewhere in the mountains hiking and exploring or on the beach soaking up the sun with her friends.

Treyton is the Membership Development director for this year's Dance Marathon and will be leading our Ignite leadership group! Outside of Dance Marathon, Treyton loves working out and snowboarding in the winter! His why is that his family attended Dance Marathon when he was younger because his sister was a DM kiddo, so he is excited to give back and leave a positive impact on our families!

Elizabeth is so excited to work as this year's Dance Marathon Morale Director. She has previously been a Morale Captain on the recruitment and morale committee and loves introducing other people to Dance Marathon! Outside of DM, Elizabeth spends her time working on school work, spending time with her friends, and working at the School of Education's Center for Technology in Learning and Teaching. Her why is her mom, who was a patient of the University of Iowa Children's Hospital in the 1980s.

Reese was a Morale captain her first year in Dance Marathon and loved being involved and giving back. She is SO excited to be back for year two as the Director of Recruitment and can’t wait to see what this year brings. She is most excited about getting close with the executive team, all committees, and of course the families and kiddos. If Reese isn’t doing Dance Marathon you can find her… Preparing for practicum since she is an Elementary Education major! Or at an event with her sorority, Gamma Phi Beta! Or working at the Starbucks Cafes on campus! Or even on the field of Jack Trice Stadium cheering with the Sparkles Squad which is a cheer team for kiddos with disabilities! Some fun facts about Reese is that she shares a birthday with her dad and she loves to go for walks! Here is to a GREAT year of believing in better:)

Katie is excited to be serving as this year's Stewardship Director. She has previously been involved with Dance Marathon as a member of the families committee and enjoys being able to connect with all of the families. Outside of DM, Katie spends a lot of her time either working for the football team or at a physical therapy clinic, but in her free time, she loves to read and travel. Her why is so that kids can be kids!

Kelsie is so excited to be serving as this year's Youth Outreach Director. This is her second year in the position, and she loves getting to connect with students all over the state of Iowa. Kelsie is also the philanthropy chair for her sorority, Gamma Phi Beta, and enjoys reading and spending time with her friends. She originally got involved with Dance Marathon after her sister was treated at Iowa Stead Children's Hospital after a life-threatening accident. She's passionate about helping families in need and helping students find their whys!

This is Erin's third year serving as the Dance Marathon Advisor at Iowa State University. She has previously been a student participant in a dance marathon program at her undergraduate institution. Outside of Dance Marathon, Erin works in Student Engagement assisting with the arts programs. In their free time, Erin likes to spend time with their partner and three dogs, read good books, and enjoy the outdoors. Her why is to support the amazing families in the ISU community and to help students connect to something bigger than themselves and grow as leaders.
